• With the new holiday Digital Scrapbook, consumers upload their personal photos to pre-designed backgrounds on a special web site, adding sentiments and music to coordinate with their photos. The resulting Digital Scrapbook can be loaded to a digital frame or given as a gift to family and friends. Pages also can be printed out and placed in an album, posted online or e-mailed as a slide show. Other everyday occasion titles also are available.
• The new Recordable Storybook, The Night Before Christmas, enables the gift giver to record his or her voice reading the classic story. As recipients turn the pages of the book, they will automatically hear the voice of the sender/storyteller. Two other everyday titles also are available.
• The Peanuts® gang stars in a collection of talking plush characters. Charlie Brown, Linus and Sally are dressed in character from the holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Press each one’s foot to hear them deliver some of their most memorable lines from the movie. Snoopy sits at a piano and plays jazzy renditions of three favorite holiday tunes while he moves from side-to-side and lights on the piano blink. Coordinating books and the DVD movie A Charlie Brown Christmas also are available.
• Each of four Caroling Cottages performs a musical light show to two songs. The cottages also can be connected together to light up in tandem to each of the other cottages’ songs. In the display mode, the cottages can be set to automatically come on and cycle through their musical light show about every four minutes.
• The Fun in the Fridge Snowman is designed to sit inside a refrigerator. When the door is opened and the light comes on, he speaks and sings, to the surprise of family and friends at holiday gatherings.
• A recordable pop-up album displays a photo on the cover, has pages to hold nine 4-by-6-inch photos, and enables the gift giver to record a personal message for the recipient. The Sittin’ with Santa pop-up album has 10 designed pages to hold and display the annual visit-with-Santa photos.
• Technology adds a touch of holiday magic to many Hallmark gifts including a variety of snow globes that feature motion, light and/or sound, night lights, and a rotating Christmas tree music box with lights that flash in sync to holiday music. The Merry Magic Snowman features colorful lights and swirling glitter, offering all the features of a snow globe in the fun shape of a snowman.
• Hallmark offers more than 300 Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments plus dozens of gift ornaments that can be used as small gifts or stocking stuffers, hung on the tree, or tied on packages for a decorative touch.
• Dozens of unique photo frames, and ceramic tabletop and home décor items are featured.
• Stores offer a selection of holiday-themed Gift Books From Hallmark for children and adults as well as many everyday selections that make meaningful holiday gifts. New titles include Snow Wonder We’re Friends, which coordinates with the Fun in the Fridge Snowman; Rodney Reindeer and His North Pole Pals, which includes six jigsaw puzzles and rhyming stories; If You Were Santa, with space to add a child’s photo that will peer through Santa’s image throughout the book; The Santa Claus Clues, which coordinates with the Signs of Santa Detective Kit that includes clever clues and a magnifying glass to help kids figure out if Santa has been on the premises.
• Hallmark Gold Crown® stores offer a collection of affordable gifts priced less than $10 including colorful mugs, salt-and-pepper shakers and treat dishes.
• Hallmark Gold Crown stores offer six designs of everyday gift cards. In addition, many stores also will offer three special designs for the holidays. These gift cards can be loaded in any amount from $5 to $500. Gift cards have no expiration dates.
