National Programs

While our primary philanthropic focus is in the communities where we operate, a few key national programs bring Hallmark moments to people across the country – and in some cases, across the globe. Working through established government or national agencies, we help support those who care for others through these product donation programs.

  • We assist in protecting the health of our youngest citizens with For America's Babies, a partnership with state governors who send cards provided by Hallmark to new parents in their states. The cards welcome the tiny new residents and remind parents about the importance of immunization with a detachable immunization schedule.

  • Operation Heartlift helps men and women serving in the military stay connected to family and friends at home. Hallmark donates Cards With Sound to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), United Service Organization (USO), and Give2theTroops (a program of the U.S. Defense Department), who in turn distribute the popular greeting cards in care packages sent to active military personnel overseas.

  • Product donations get put to caring use when distributed through large national agencies who can efficiently match availability with need. Paper party supplies, stationery, cards and other excess products are donated to organizations like The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross and Heart to Heart International, for re-distribution to agencies addressing emergency, education and human service needs.
